From 2017 to 2019, four professors from
the Queen Maud University College of Early Childhood Education (Trondheim, Norway),
belonging to the Departments of Pedagogy, Physical Education, Drama and Social Sciences,
conducted field research in Mikros Dounias.
They used the research methods of participatory observation, semi-structured interviews
and group interview with the three pedagogues of the project.
Their article “Social Sustainable Education in a Refugee Camp”,
which was published in the Journal “Sustainability”,
provides with a more scientific look upon the daily life in Mikros Dounias.
